If the engineers who built the iPhone, the geniuses who made Google reach every home in the world in less than a decade and the amazing talents behind Facebook were to apply themselves to our problems and help, what a wonderful world it would be. Great work being made, distributed efficiently and everyone in the value chain being fairly paid. Cite Arrow

Quoting Paul McGuinness, manager of one of the top three rock bands in the world, U2. He wrote a three-page article titled “How To Save The Music Industry” on GQ.com (!) over the weekend and this is is the final paragraph. This is unreal, go read the whole thing. Or better don’t, I’ve had a bad mood only thinking about this article.

He’s basically asking (begging) the tech industry - specifically Facebook, Google, Apple and all ISP’s - to save ‘his’ industry.

For someone getting who, as a manager, probably gets 20% from the profits of every sold U2 ticket (best tickets currently go for $250 each), this entire article is ridiculous.
